Arachova is a mountain village situated at the foot of Parnassos Mountain at an altitude of 950m in the prefecture of Viotia and is about 160 Km from Athens. It sits above the valley where a river flows to Livadia and the Cephissus River. The area around Arachova is mainly grasslands and rocky landscape with a few bushes.

Arachova is a touristic attraction because of the proximity to popular Delphi but was developed in the late 20th century due to the most modern and largest skiing resorts in Greece situated in the northwest side of Parnassus.

Livadia is located 130 km NW of Athens and is characterized as a travelling intersection since it connects village of Arachova, the ski center of Parnassos and Elikonas mountain, but also the major archaeological site of Delphi. Located between two mountains, those of Parnassos and Elikonas and crossed by the river of Erkionas is a traditional city with natural beauty. The area around Livadia is mountainous while farmlands are mainly in valley areas. Levadia’s industry is urban and rural in the outskirts.
